Recently, Henan Transportation Department held its Transportation Science and Technology Innovation week for 2021, with the extensive participation of domestic excellent science and technology enterprises, scientific research institutes and universities. One RP1253T paver, two XP305S pneumatic rollers and three XD133S double steel wheel rollers carry out the construction of the upper layer asphalt, molding at one time with a single width of 11.5m, performing a large width paving process. At the same time, the paver is equipped with radar thickness measurement system, which has a real-time non-destructive strategy to guide the real-time adjustment of the paver, while the data center of the paver guides the cluster to complete compaction.
At the scene, the project manager of Zhongjiao First Public Bureau said:

Driverless construction solves the issue of intensity construction under high temperature; All-weather continuous operation greatly shortens the construction period; also more importantly, the management and control of the intelligent system is far more efficient than manual work. I am very satisfied with the result of the construction.
This is the first driverless cluster construction highway application of XCMG in conjunction with the Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Transportation, Zhongjiao First Public Bureau, and Henan Jiaotong Engineering and Technology Group.
The project, Zhengzhou-Xixia Express, has a total length of 48.357 kilometers. The project adopts the standard of four-lane highway and the design speed is 80km/h.
